Halloween Surprise Packages
I love the anticipation of Halloween. Whether it's pulling out the spooky decorations, whipping up a batch of pumpkin bread or cookies, or watching my favorite Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus, there's always something fun and festive to celebrate this time of year. When I was little, I was lucky enough to have the sweetest neighbor, Dorothy, who would send me Halloween mail and stickers every year. This year I wanted to continue with the holiday tradition, and sent Halloween surprise packages to the kiddos in my life.
I collected goodies from a variety of places including the Target $1 section, Hallmark stores, and Amazon. Packages consisted of silly putty, Halloween pencils, jack o'lantern felt faces, witch bubbles, spider rings, light-up wands, and pumpkin cookie cutters. While perusing Instagram a few weeks ago, I was inspired by DesignMom's list of favorite Halloween books for kids, and decided to also enclose a book for each kid. I kept candy to a minimum of mini M&Ms.
Decorating the packages with stickers and markers is always my favorite part!
Wishing you a Happy Halloween!
